The Progressive Football Challenge was created to promote Georgia high school football on a national stage in America’s premier showcase event. The Challenge features:
 

• Two of the nation’s top prep programs against Georgia’s finest

• Regional or national television broadcast of the event

• Extensive promotion through print, television, radio and Internet

• Tremendous exposure for the Gwinnett County community

This year’s inaugural event will feature Byrnes High School, 2007 South Carolina 4A State Champion, against North Gwinnett High School, 2007 Georgia 5A State Runner-up. Daytona Beach Mainland, a perennial Florida 5A contender, faces rising power Central Gwinnett in the opening game.
